RACE-DAY TOOL
RACE-DAY CALCULATOR
Velocity, without the guesswork.
Calculate the figure you see on Irish race result sheets — or work backwards from a target velocity.
DISTANCE TIME
Velocity1955.556 ypm

How it works
Total race distance is converted to yards, then divided by total flying time in minutes. 1 mile = 1,760 yards.
Race-day reference
Distance can include whole miles plus additional yards.
Flying time accepts HH:MM:SS or MM:SS.
Primary racing figure is yards per minute (ypm).
